Summer Camps

Strawberry Canyon Summer Programs

A wide variety of hands-on science-exploration day camps on themes including animals, dinosaurs, math, potions, building, crime fighting, astronomy, science theater, electric gadgetry, nanotechnology, and more. LHS also offers residential, research, and backpacking camps — including new family backpacking — at outdoor sites in Northern California including the Sierra and Pt. Reyes. Overnight camps are offered for ages 8-18 (with some adult family members).

Half- and Full-Day Camps
Level: Pre-K through entering 12th grade
Enrollment: 8-20 campers, depending on the camp
Dates: Ongoing, mid-June - August
Fees: Varies from $156-395; discounts for LHS members

Overnight Camps
Level: Age 8-18 (and adults, in family backpacking camp)
Enrollment: 20-40 campers, depending on the camp
Dates: 5 or 6 days, June 16-Aug. 11
Fees: Varies from $665-895 per camp; discounts for LHS members

Additionally, Science & Sports Camps (S2) are full-day camps offered by LHS in collaboration with Cal Recreational Sports. Register for S2 Camps at calbears.berkeley.edu (go to Youth Programs).

Green Stuff Day Camp 2007
Explore the world of plants at the UC Botanical Garden — through garden explorations, science experiments, growing and harvesting food crops, making crafts from plants, discovering garden animals, and learning about plant diversity. For details, see website.
