UC Berkeley’s draft Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) and draft environmental impact report will be published on April 15, and both will be available for public review and comment until June 14.

Following revisions, the plan and EIR will be submitted to the UC Regents in the fall. When approved, it will guide campus growth and development from 2005 through 2020.

Our goal,” writes UC Berkeley Chancellor Robert Berdahl, “is to promote social interaction and

intellectual collaboration, preserve open space, protect our architectural treasures, and help enrich the communities around us.”

Public comments can be made in person at scheduled meetings or in writing by 5 p.m., Monday, June 14.
