Spring/Summer 2004 Events

Time’s Shadow —The show features 50 images from the first decades of photography, when pioneers of the medium — quasi-scientists and intrepid explorers — cataloged near and far reaches of the world, capturing shadows of the ever-fleeting present. Through Aug. 8.

Turning Corners — Five hundred years of artistic innovation and experimentation are the guiding principles of this exhibition of works from Berkeley Art Museum collections. The exhibit demonstrates how artists, then and now, have turned corners on the mainstream and forged new directions, in works that delight, challenge, and provoke. Through Aug. 31.
