- Enjoy free admission to campus museum exhibits and events, such as 'Jurassic Park: The Life and Death of Dinosaurs' at the Lawrence Hall of Science; a day of art projects, music, storytelling and tours at the Berkeley Art Museum; and flora, fauna, fossils and insects at campus natural history museums normally open only to researchers.
- Visit teaching labs in biology, chemistry and computing.

- English Professor Alan Nelson and students from his Shakespeare classes enact scenes from "Twelfth Night."
- Chemistry Professor Angelica Stacy demonstrates chemical sleights of hand.
- Astronomy Professor Geoffrey Marcy discusses his search for new planets beyond the bounds of our solar system.
Tips for Cal Day Visitors
Food
- Campus cafés, the Faculty Club, the cafeteria at the Lawrence Hall of Science will be open, as well as the Bear's Lair and Student Store in the Student Union.
- The campus has many excellent picnic sites, and nearby restaurants offer varied menus.
Transportation
- Public transportation is the best way to get to Cal Day. Several AC Transit bus lines go directly to campus, and the downtown Berkeley BART station is just a block away. From the station you can catch a free Cal Day cable car, with onboard student guides and stops all around campus.
- Shuttles also run to the Lawrence Hall of Science, Samuel L. Silver Space Sciences Lab, and UC Botanical Garden. Parking is free in UC lots, but very limited.
